Job Description

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Python Developer for a 6 month contract based in London (hybrid - 2/3 days in the office).Purpose of the Role:The main mission of the Management Information Counterparty Credit Risk (MI CCR) team is to provide General Management, CIB and RISK Function with a global independent view and analysis of key risks, related to counterparty credit risk, supporting optimaldecision-making. As such, the team maintains an associated governance framework including métiers, RISK MFI and RISK Corporate comprising recurring committees from Financial Market Risks Committee ("FMRC") to Main Positions meetings. The team also contributesto group-wide internal management information, including the Comité de Contrôle Interne, des Risques et de la Conformité ("CCIRC").MI CCR is part of RISK - MFI Platform (Markets and Financial Institutions) - MI (Management Information). The team is based in London and maintains a global scope. It interacts closely with other MI teams in London, Paris, Brussels and New York, as wellas several RISK MFI teams under Analysis & Decision and Platform stream. The team has also regular interaction with RISK Corporate and Global Markets CCR teams.Responsibilities of the role:As a Python Developer you will be responsible for:

  • Contribute to the current new initiatives on counter party credit risk (e.g. Global Counter party Main Position, CCR dashboard development, Collateral Main Position). The individual, under the guidance of a senior team member and in close collaborationwith teams from RISK MFI and RISK Corporate, is expected to work on the design and industrialisation of new reports focusing on different types of counter parties as well as on the development of a dashboard displaying key CCR metrics across all activitiesand locations.
  • Produce CCR metrics and review for coherence, resolving or escalating issues found in the calculations, while working in collaboration with other colleagues in RISK and Metiers. The candidate will analyse and explain metrics such as Current Exposure (CE),Potential Future Exposure (PFE), Credit Valuation Adjustments (CVA), stress tests, initial margin, liquidation cost.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc requests for CCR analysis, whether external (e.g. from Regulators) or internal (e.g. request for focus paper on a specific topic).
  • Support the wider MI team through contributions to various global risk analysis topics.
What we require from the candidate:
  • Python programming skills.
  • The candidate should be self-motivated and able to organize tasks in project mode as well as be able to ensure their timely progress or escalate when required.
  • The candidate will be expected to have a general all-round competence with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English language) are an absolute requirement, due to the need to establish and maintain contacts and information flow with different teams across the bank.
  • Some knowledge and experience in topics such as statistics/econometric, derivatives pricing fundamentals/greeks.
