We are looking for a Python Data Engineer in the Global Investments Financial Systems UK division, to build a federated Data Lake, as well as the supporting data and analytics infrastructure in the Cloud (AWS), to power Portfolio integration and Investmentresearch. We are rapidly expanding our UK Technology organisation, and this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, by delivering modern Cloud data solutions, whilst learning about the overall Investment Management apparatus.The team is responsible for building, testing, and deploying scalable, reliable Cloud (AWS) data workloads (Python 3.x), to power applications across various Business organisations, including Product Strategy, Investment Management, Investment Research andOperations.Python experience is requisite for the role, as well as demonstrable Database (Relational and NoSQL) and AWS competencies (non-exhaustive) in standing up serverless storage, compute, and orchestration workloads: S3, Lambda, ECS (Fargate), ETL (Step Functionsand, or Glue ETL), security: IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, as well as IaC: CloudFormation. Experience processing large data sets and, or analytics experience are desirable. The team practices Agile and has daily interactions with our Product Owner.The successful candidate will be a self-starter, demonstrates thought leadership, has an aptitude for learning and will be comfortable Interacting with end Users across many Business organisations, so excellent written and oral communication skills are imperative.Core Technical Competencies
