Job Description

A Global Social Media Company based in London is seeking a Research & Data Engineer to join their team on a contract basis for 12 months.The main function of the Research & Data Engineer is to develop, evaluate, test and maintain architectures and data solutions within the research organisation. In this role, you will help build software pipelines for processing multi-sensory audio-visualdatasets and develop cutting-edge deep learning/computer vision models for 3D reconstruction and novel-view synthesis.Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and improve data pipelines with an emphasis on supporting a multitude of sensor technologies (including visual and audio sensors).
  • Participate in implementation and scaling of novel computer vision and machine learning algorithms in areas such as: 3D reconstruction, video understanding, image segmentation, and depth sensing.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional engineers and researchers for data collection, data processing and analysis.
Skills and experience:
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with researchers and engineers on project goals, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.
  • 3+ years of experience developing in C++ and/or Python.
  • Computer Vision experience that provides familiarity with fundamental concepts such as image formation and camera calibration. Experience with 3D reconstruction is preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience required. MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Computer Engineering or related technical field preferred.
