Job Description

Working in the Campaigns and Research team for a well known and respected charity in the UK, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape and carry out the public affairs and campaigning activities at a national level; to devise and deliverpolitical engagement events; to monitor political developments; to continuously review and evidence campaign impact; and to build and maintain productive relationships with key national stakeholders.Client DetailsWell known charity in the UK.Description

  • To help shape campaign messaging and assist the Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager and the Campaign Engagement and Mobilisation Officer in all aspects of external and internal communications (website, intranet, social media and email)
  • To plan and organise political engagement events, including Parliamentary and Party Conference receptions, exhibitions, panel discussions, consultation events, and others, as required.
  • To devise and deliver a bespoke engagement programme for MPs and their staff which consists of personalised briefings and visits, in consultation with Public Affairs and Campaigns Managers.
  • To develop and maintain good working relationships with key Parliamentarians and their staff, as well as partner organisations key to the successful delivery of campaigns and engagement events programme.
  • To monitor and research Parliamentary developments, consultations and legislation of interest to the charity and produce a weekly political monitoring report for senior colleagues across the organisation, as well as focused reports on topics as and whenrequired, in consultation with policy colleagues.
  • To assist the Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager (UK) in the production and dissemination of external briefings and campaign literature for parliamentary debates and other parliamentary business, as well as campaign presentations for staff and members.
  • To be responsible for minute taking of Campaigns Group and maintaining the Public Affairs and Public Policy teams record of MP engagement and campaign correspondence.
  • To work closely with the Campaign Engagement and Mobilisation Officer to ensure that external communications and events targeting supporters and influencers are complimentary in nature and timing.
  • To work with the Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager to produce high quality campaign plans that are regularly updated and reviewed.
