Behaviour Mentor - Pupil Referral Unit in Hackney Central, London. I am actively seeking an engaging and passionate Behaviour Mentor to work in a PRU setting that provides education to students who are unable to be taught in a mainstream school due totheir behaviour difficulties. I am hoping to speak to professional and devoted Behaviour Mentors to work in a PRU setting in Hackney Central, London. The role is non class based and is working across the Unit with individual students who require additionalmentoring. Behaviour Mentor - Pupil Referral Unit - What to expectThe role will involve working with children that display challenging behaviourAssessing and accommodating individual learning needs of studentsWorking closely with individual children and tailoringthe lesson to their needsEncouraging the social and emotional development of pupilsFull-Time Behaviour Mentor role for the academic year based in Hackney Central£70-£75 a day - Weekly PAYEThese students will likely be from disadvantaged backgrounds, havingexperienced childhood trauma and potentially involved in gang related issues, therefore, will not want to get involved and will disrupt the class with challenging behaviour. Therefore, the ideal Behaviour Mentor for this role must have had previous experiencewith challenging youths and should have an uplifting and inspiring approach. This Pupil Referral Unit is in Hackney Central, London and caters for students aged between 11-16 years who have been removed from a mainstream school on a temporary or permanentbasis due to their behaviour, attendance, and attitude. This role of Behaviour Mentor will provide excellent experience for aspiring Teachers, Pastoral workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists,Counsellors, and Social Workers.
