Job Description

Business Support OfficerLambeth£190 a dayFull Time Contract (3 months)Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Prosecutions Lawyer in Lambeth. This is a contract without a scope for extension working full time hours. The job:

  • To undertake all work including, inter alia, the settling of pleadings, preparation for hearings, provision of advice and representation of the organisation in all courts, Tribunals and Inquiries as required
  • To liaise with professional bodies, research institutions, Counsel, Chief Officers, elected members and other external organisations
  • To provide legal advice to Committees, sub-committees and working parties and to write reports to such bodies
  • To represent Legal Services on Corporate projects and initiatives as required from time to time.
The candidate:
  • Current practising certificate
  • Previous experience in prosecutions and criminal litigation in a local government setting
  • Experience in Licensing Act 2003
  • At least 2 years of PQE
