Job Description

Our prestigious client is seeking a Business Development Executive - Proposals is responsible for the production and delivery of compliant, professionally produced PQQ, RfP and pitch response materials within customer defined timeframes. Working closely with, and as directed by the New Business Proposal Managers, you will co-ordinate and edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, while maintaining change control best practices.Document management

  • Understand and advise team of submission requirements - deadlines, formatting requirements, word limits, etc
  • Develop first draft of response using Qvidian content bank and other sources where best practice draft wording is held, tailoring this to client requirements / objectives
  • Review and consolidate sections and / or documents developed by content owners into the required format in line with proposal project plan
  • Suggest and create graphical and design elements that aid readability and highlight key messages
  • Collate, format and proofread final version prior to submission
  • Attend and contribute to storyboarding sessions with consulting team
  • Provide advice on flow, language, and grammar to content owners
  • Where appropriate, organise design resource and liaise with printers to deliver the final written response on time and to a high standard
  • Support the pitch process with final presentation materials - this may include designing / reformatting PowerPoint decks or organising external design resource and liaising with printers
  • Ensure proposal documents follow branding guidelines, formatting and quality standards
  • Support proposal administration as required - organising go/no go calls, storyboarding and review sessions; uploading content to Qvidian; updating Workbooks with proposal team activity
  • Input to Workbooks for MI and shared responsibility for distribution of accurate pipeline reports to key stakeholders and wider management team
  • Wider proposal team support
  • Support the updating and management of content including templates, CVs, case studies and quote bank
  • Contribute to development of the proposal approach by suggesting new ways of working and undertaking supporting projects
  • Help to develop and enhance the Business Development team space on the intranet.

  • Proven ability in planning, producing and delivering compliant proposal documents within a complex business environment
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office packages - Word, Excel and Advanced PowerPoint essential - including professional understanding of templates, macros, and styles
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise work and effectively manage your own workload whilst still working as part of a team. The ability to manage multiple projects at any one time is vitally important
  • Ability to deal with people of all levels
  • Desirable
  • Working knowledge of Qvidian and Workbooks systems
  • Prior professional services or Business to Business experience would be an advantage
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification
  • APMP Foundation level certification or an interest in achieving this qualification
  • Proactive, confident and enthusiastic
  • Attention to detail with a sense of responsibility and ownership
  • A team player with an ability to work independently and under pressure, when facing conflicting priorities and/or multiple tasks
  • Flexible attitude towards working pattern to meet deadlines, some out of hours work will be required
