Job Description

We are looking for a Supplier Management Project Support Officer to help support the Supplier Management team here at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). You will assist the Supplier Management team to ensure it runs smoothly. If you have experience in an analytical role and are looking a move into supplier management, we would be interested in hearing from you.The Supplier Management team is responsible for the creation, implementation, ongoing management and continuous improvement of the Supplier Management Programme, Framework and working practices across the organisation.The team is part of the Procurement department, which is accountable for the management of third-party supply to enable the delivery of Value for Money for the FCA, whilst ensuring compliance with procurement legislation.What does the role involve What are the key responsibilitiesProvide operational guidance and advice to the Supplier Management community and the Categories Team

  • Support the improvement of the Supplier Management Framework, including Handbook, Workbooks and other tools and templates.
  • Maintain the Key Supplier Tracker
  • Support the development and deployment of a methodology to manage the Tier 3 supply base, including new responsibilities within the approach
  • Support the development and deployment of an integrated due-diligence and supplier assurance methodology, including new responsibilities within the approach (eg centralised due diligence activities)
  • Work with the Categories Team to integrate Sourcing and Supplier Management activity to enhance the Procurement department’s offer (e.g. segmentation, due-diligence, handover, contract change)
  • Support the annual review to ensure that suppliers have been correctly segmented
  • Support the development and deployment of a technology solution to enable Supplier Management activity
  • Measure and report the efficiency and effectiveness of the Supplier Management Programme
  • Support the development and deployment of a Supplier Management Learning & Development programme
