Job Description

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the timely and successful execution of project plans. This is a hybrid working role, offering a flexible combination of remotework and on-site visits. The successful candidate will have strong Project Planning skills, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and delivery of the projects master schedule and other supporting tools like MTA, Progress Curves etc.
  • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules. Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with project managers and department leads to allocate resources effectively and efficiently. Identify and resolve any resource conflicts or constraints that may impact project schedules.
  • Schedule Monitoring: Monitor and analyse project progress, identify potential delays or deviations from the planned schedule, and propose corrective actions.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to stakeholders on project status and schedule performance.
  • Risk Management: Assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Incorporate risk analysis into project schedules to ensure proactive management of potential schedule impacts.
  • Change Management: Evaluate and analyse change requests and their potential impact on project schedules. Collaborate with project teams to assess the feasibility and resource implications of proposed changes.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers, to gather project information, resolve scheduling conflicts, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, progress reports, and change logs. Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of project activities.
  • Best Practices and Process Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices in project planning and scheduling. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and propose enhancements to optimise project delivery.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective collaboration and communication within project teams. Facilitate regular meetings and workshops to gather input, align expectations, and resolve scheduling-related issues.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Project Planner, preferably in the offshore wind industry.
  • Extensive experience working with Planning software for project planning and scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the offshore wind sector and associated project planning requirements is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address scheduling challenges.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities to manage complex projects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or Primavera P6 are advantageous.
