Job Description

Our investment banking client has been present in the UK for more than 150 years, theyre a long-term partner to British business. In so doing, they seek to make a positive, sustainable contribution to both the UK economy and society.On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Project Manager (Payments) for a 10-month long contract based in London (hybrid).As a Project Manager (Payments), you will:

  • Manage assigned strategic change initiatives, transformations, or process improvements:
    • develop and execute agreed project plans, objectives, and timelines;
    • monitor and report on project progress and adherence to milestones;
    • identify, manage, and report on project risks and issues;
    • coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams;
    • facilitate effective communication among stakeholders; and
    • manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns.
  • Implement project management methodologies and best practices:
    • organise and manage meetings and workshops;
    • provide support to other team members, including coaching; and
    • facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Identify further opportunities for process improvement and optimisation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, organisational policies and procedures.
What were looking for:
  • Good knowledge of banking and related activities within the area of cash management, corporate banking, and payments
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Proven record of successfully managing projects/transformations
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments, organise, and prioritise accordingly
  • Knowledge of UK payments systems (CHAPS, BACS, and FPS) and related subjects, e.g. SWIFT, ISO2022 migration, and RTGS renewal)
  • Ability to identify and manage risks associated with change initiatives
  • High level of interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to use MS Office Suite
