Job Description

Job Title: Interim Project Manager - Pathology Modernisation ProgrammeLocation: London, NHS TrustDuration: 6-12 monthsRate: £300-350 per dayAre you a skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist with a passion for driving positive change in healthcare Are you adept at managing complex projects and possess the expertise to lead a Pathology Modernisation Programme If so, we have an excitingopportunity for you to join an NHS Trust in London as an Interim Project Manager.Role Overview:As the Interim Project Manager for the Pathology Modernisation Programme, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading the transformation of pathology services. Working within a dynamic and collaborative environment, you will be responsible for overseeingthe planning, implementation, and monitoring of the modernisation initiatives.Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the Pathology Modernisation Programme.
  2. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including clinicians, laboratory staff, and IT professionals, to ensure seamless integration of modernisation efforts.
  3. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure the successful delivery of objectives within the specified timeframe.
  4. Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges, implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
  5. Provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders, communicating progress, challenges, and achievements.
  6. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency in pathology services.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Biomedical Science or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably within the healthcare sector and with a focus on pathology services.
  • Strong understanding of biomedical science principles and laboratory operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
