Job Description

Job role:My client is a World Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Contractor.They are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join the joint venture responsible for the construction and delivery of a major new railway station in Northwest London.The Project Manager will initially be working on a large section of work on the periphery of the projects site which will involve the following;

  • Demolition and earthworks
  • The construction of a new road layout
  • Utilities diversions
  • The construction of a new junction and associated signals and street furniture
  • Hard and soft landscaping
This is a hybrid position so my client will allow a degree of home working if required.Duties:Resource, develop and lead a team, defining and communicating project objectives and constraints and complying with health, safety and environmental legislation, thereby delivering the end product on time, within budget and to the agreed quality.Maximise profit whilst endeavouring to exceed all client expectations acting as the senior site representative across the projectEnsure individuals are aware of what is expected of them and assign individual responsibilitiesDevelop individuals through coaching and trainingManagement of designers, including providing direction for the design managerProduction of information required schedules & subsequent monitoringUnderstand what BIM is, understand the implications and value proposition of BIM within the organisationEnsure materials, plant and sub-contractors are procured to meet targetsEnsure that the works are undertaken in accordance with all HS&E legislation, and the site Health Safety and Environmental Plans.Review Health & Safety and investigate incidents, providing summary and recommendationsCarry out periodic inspection of construction sites to ensure complianceMaintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standardsIdentify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claimsMitigate legal issues and defects liability for the businessCommunicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the projectDecide on solutions to major issues and challengesPerson SpecificationPrevious experience as a Senior Agent or Project Manager delivering major infrastructure projectsRelevant construction related degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or another relevant subject MatterChartered status is desirableBenefits:
