Everyone can get involved, everyone can make a difference.We are looking for a confident and experienced project manager to help us deliver some of our largest and most complex projects in Cornwall.The outcomes will enhance the experience our visitors have at our coastal places and our house and garden properties, help tackle the impact of climate change at our places, and improve the natural environment. You will be contributing to the care of someof the countrys most beautiful coastal and countryside sites, and some of Cornwalls best known and loved houses and gardens. Although the role is focused on Cornwall, the role is part of the National Trust Consultancy and as such you may be involved in projectselsewhere in the region as well.You will be a skilled and creative thinker, able to collaborate with others to identify the best solutions. Youll be a strong team-player who can both support and lead. Your CV will show how youve regularly taken on complexchallenges and driven projects through from inception to delivery, ideally of a budget of £1m plus. Stakeholder management, both internally and externally will be second nature to you.We invite applicants from a wide range of industries and backgrounds, butyou must have experience of working on relevant projects or transferable skills and knowledge. Youll be working on a hybrid basis with your official base at our hub office at Lanhydrock, near Bodmin. You will spend a proportion of your working week at sites relating to the projects youare leading, and / or working from home as required.What youll be doingSupported by both property and consultancy staff you will take a range of projects through the project lifecycle. Current projects include infrastructure changes and improvements to visitorfacilities and experiences, in the context of climate change impacts and built and natural conservation needs. The role will include leading our engagement with stakeholders and relevant funding partners. Effective time management will ensure that the workdelivers at pace and within any funding deadlines. You will deliver projects within the Trusts framework for project management, governance and reporting, including leading project meetings, producing papers for senior management, and ensuring ongoing effectivecommunications with the project team and other audiences. You will manage the projects finances in collaboration with the General Manager for that site and with your Finance colleague.Who were looking for A good knowledge of planning, conservation and sustainabledevelopment issues. Ability to create and deliver a project from inception to completion. Experience of excellence in financial management and best practice procurement. Excellent time management and organisation skills. An exceptional communicator and a pragmatistwho finds solutions and brokers resources. The ability to take on board different opinions and priorities and steer a path through to delivery - be solution focused. Someone who understands the constraints of managing our Properties and Places and who candemonstrate a clear client focus and excellent client relationship management skills.
