Job Description

About the opportunity Department Description: To work in the Product Change team within the Global Transfer Agency (GTA) function to manage the GTA work stream (across UK, India, Lux and Asia) of projects emanating from the Product Delivery teams in the UK, Europe and Asia. This will involve analysing and co-ordinating the impact of Fidelity Fund launches and Corporate Actions, planning and managing multiple activities across the GTA and Global Personal Investing and Advisory teams and successfully delivering change into the business as usual environment. Purpose of your role: Estimating and Planning Engaging with the SMEs for identifying impact of new Fidelity Products or changes to existing Products via corporate actions Involvement in representing GTA at the Estimating and Planning Working Group Support adherence to the agreed Estimating and Planning process Collation of impact assessment and feed back into the Product teams with regards to feasibility, timelines and resourcing Communication of the decisions from the Estimating and Planning Working Groups Investigation of ad-hoc queries from the Asset Management Operations team, Product Delivery or the GPIA and Client Services teams Project Initiation Establish a project team and tailor checklist templates and project plans to requirements and scope of the project. Secure SME resources from impacted teams, assign roles and responsibilities Work with the Product Delivery Manager and other work stream managers (for example within Technology and AMO) to agree roles and responsibilities, interfaces, dependencies etc. Project Management Supporting a high profile and strategic programme of work. This will include working with GFAS (Transfer Agency system) and Appian Technology teams and supporting the review of solution design documents, user acceptance testing and health check of changes as well as supporting the implementation batches of the programme Execution of project plans, checklists and timelines, agreement of key milestones and dependencies Review proposed client mailings, marketing materials and Q&As Co-ordinate and manage any testing, such as proof of concept testing for a new product / implementation Work closely with Technology for any Technology deliveries for projects. Support review of solution design documents, testing and implementation into production Provide technical expertise and guidance based on knowledge from previous roles / projects Manage Sponsor and Stakeholder relationships Maintaining good working relationships with Product Delivery teams across UK, Europe and Asia and other work stream leads from departments involved in the process such as IM, AMO, Compliance, Risk, Legal etc. Interface with other impacted parties, internal and external as required for the duration of the project Manage risks, assumptions, actions, issues, dependencies and decisions as part of the overall project RAAIDD log and escalate if required Contribute to senior review presentations and meetings, if required Produce progress reports and other management information as appropriate Complete customer impact assessments as part of the Operational Readiness documents Complete project closure including conducting post project reviews / lessons learnt ensuring that any lessons learnt are recorded in the departmental checklists / documentation for future reference Supporting fortnightly Appian share class launch windows and raising enhancements where needed Contribute to the teams strategic goals for the year Your skills and experience Financial Services industry experience Experience of Investment Product initiatives (such as Fund Launches and Corporate Actions) from initiation through to implementation preferable Strong Project and people management skills Experience of managing and supporting test cycles Experience of engaging / communicating with senior stakeholders Understanding of the Agile methodology Experience of working with Product Delivery, Retail Operations, Client Services, Technology Experience / knowledge of systems such GFAS, Sonata, Appian preferable Excellent interpersonal skills enabling effective communication and conflict management Experience of chairing and presenting meetings Sense of urgency and awareness of when to escalate issues Self-motivated, a proactive approach with an analytical, enquiring mind and willingness to learn Ability to work on own initiative to achieve objectives and goals, requesting support when and where required Strong sense of ownership with ability to work on challenging issues and overcome constraints and obstacles Dedication to accuracy, timeliness and high productivity while working under pressure to meet deadlines Strong customer service orientation Awareness of the Risk frameworks Ability to analyse issues and produce innovative solutions Good organisation and coordination skills Good Microsoft office skills About you About Fidelity International Fidelity International offers investment solutions and services and retirement expertise to more than 2.5 million customers globally.
