Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager - Redevelopment and Community ProjectsLocation: LondonContract: Until April 2024 (possibility of extension)Spencer Clarke Group are currently seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the negotiation of two leases and management agreements for the building usage of three newly insourced supported hostels. This role is instrumental in managingthe successful delivery of development projects within the borough, ensuring the community benefits and council services are improved. The Project Manager will be responsible for driving forward change, overseeing the redevelopment of community projects, andcontributing to the strategic development of the insourced service.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the negotiation of two leases and management agreements for the building usage of three insourced supported hostels.
  • Manage the delivery of redevelopment and community projects to achieve the council’s objectives.
  • Manage the supported hostel project, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery to high-quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations and risk assessments, with a focus on contingency and emergency planning.
  • Manage the agreement of new leaseholds, ensuring clear and documented negotiations.
  • Adhere to building compliance standards and conduct risk assessments for the hostels.
  • Draw up and maintain comprehensive project plans covering all stages of development and delivery.
Knowledge and Qualifications
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant professional discipline (e.g., town planning, surveying, architecture, engineering).
  • In-depth understanding of challenges in urban redevelopment projects.
  • Full understanding of contracts and delivery in support of physical redevelopment schemes.
  • Experience in producing project management protocols, initiation documents, project programs, and update reports.
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders in development projects.
  • Experience in project delivery through the lifecycle of a construction project: from inception to successful completion.
