Job Description

A major player in sustainable and solar engineering is seeking a Project Financial Controller, paying between £45,000 to £55,000 based on experience, to join their rapidly growing London team.The role will be working closely with the Project Manager and the UK Financial Manager on a new multimillion pound project and will be the companies representative when it comes down the budget and cash flow. Initially you will be working on one project,but this could change as the company grows.The duties include the following:

  • Works side-by-side with Project Managers and serve as the Finance Representative on the project
  • Follow up on the Projects budget and report on their financial performance and progress
  • Review all costs to date and accrued commitments monthly and endure accuracy and completeness
  • Keep up to date all the actual Project costs incurred and provide monthly rolling forecast reports, noting any variance to the budget
  • Responsible for the cash management of the project, and accurate cash flow forecasting
  • Preparation of payments for vendors in cooperation with Project Managers
  • Prepare and submit the projects weekly/monthly progress reports, financial dashboards, or other reports as required
  • Report to Country Finance Manager and support them as required
The company are ideally looking for an experience financial controller that has worked within the construction industry. Project experience would be a huge plus, working on multi-million pound projects, but most of the project elements of the role can betrained! You will be highly analytical and numerically minded, having a great eye for detail.
