Job Description

A leading fund manager is seeking a Programme Manager to join them in a newly created role. Reporting to the Director of Operational Transformation, this role will be responsible for the delivery of high profile programmes. The nature of these Projects andProgrammes will vary over time and is likely to be diverse reflecting current business priorities.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Define, develop and maintain appropriate plans for the life of the projects, with associated resource and budget planning
  • Control the scope of projects and programmes, managing dependencies including assessing regulatory requirements and ensuring that these are met
  • Adhere to the change and transformation project lifecycle, including maintenance of plans, briefs, risks and issues, dependency tracking and other relevant reporting artefacts (including the preparation of key project documentation/templates as required)
  • Create project organisation/structure, including roles and responsibilities and governance
  • Drive stakeholder engagement across projects, and develop and deliver an effective communication plan both externally and internally
  • Chair Working Group(s) as required, present progress, highlight issues, challenge and drive decisions - ensure relevant content is brought to the groups for discussion
  • Drive and deliver SteerCo preparation including decks and agendas
  • Ensure any resources including external vendors are managed and resourced to be able to deliver successfully. Drive prioritisation as appropriate
  • Develop and manage project costs
  • Represent the firm on industry forums where appropriate
The role requires:
  • Robust and proven track record as a programme manager
  • Must have a background in asset management & experience in working on Operational Programmes with a focus on Middle and Back Office providers and services
  • Strong leader, equally comfortable facing off to Working and Steering Groups, challenging stakeholders, directing and motivating a cross-business team.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills including Teams, Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Aligned Project Certifications
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills - the ability to work across all levels of the organisation
  • Experience of managing vendors and external partners
  • A rolled-up sleeve positive and delivery focused approach
