Job Description

  • Salary Range:£550 Inside IR35
  • Job Type:Contract
  • Office Location:London
  • Hybrid Model: 1 dayper week in office, remaining days remote
Our client, an ITservices provideris seeking an experienced Programme Manager with strongdelivery experience froma leadership and governance perspective. The ideal candidate will be capable of dealing and reporting to C-level stakeholders. Theend clientwill bedelivering a Developer solution across multiple platforms, therefore a strong understanding of developer tooling is essential.Role Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the rollout of VDIs and tooling for developers
  • Drive delivery of a secure platform incorporating privileged management
  • Deliveringvirtual tools and products as a unified solution onto a cloud-first VDI environment, resulting in the migration of the developer community onto a consolidated and evergreen operating system.
Skills Required:
  • A strong understanding of developer tooling. (AWS, Linux, etc - containerized development)
  • Experience working with developer tooling as well as containerization, and identity and access management.
  • Leadership and Governance experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills (able to deal with stakeholders in complex governance structures)
  • Well presented, articulate, confident and professional in approach as well as having a good sense of humour.
  • Professional services business acumen with commercial acumen, including having developed and championed business cases for large programmes.
  • Previous experience working for a consulting services company, services company or as a supplier organisation, or systems integrator.
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully managing, leading/motivating programme & project teams, including direct, indirect reports and suppliers
  • Track record of establishing governance structures to ensure programmes success
  • Ability to delegate, prioritise and get involved at a detailed level when required
  • Full life cycle project management experience from project initiation to project closure with the ability to adapt to the customer’s chosen methodology and standards.
  • Strong task and resource planning in a volatile matrix management environment.
  • Strong risk and issue management skills with an eye on avoiding programme issues through awareness, planning and forward thinking.
  • Demonstrable understanding of project finances and budget management.
  • Solid estimating skills with the ability to contribute to project requirements assessment, estimating and planning.
  • Skilled in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, SharePoint and Project.
Qualifications:
  • PRINCE2 certified
  • MSP certified or equivalent required
Experience Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Project Managerin particular types of projects; e.g. DC migration.Minimum 2 years as Programme Manager.
