Job Description

London (although currently remote) The Role

  • You will be a part of the Group’s programme management function of big (time & cost wise) and complex (several locations, several teams, etc.) programmes.
  • You will be working closely with the existing management team and subject matter experts to enable our biggest initiatives for enabling our strategy and vision including supporting the delivery of the Group’s Objective & Key Results Framework.
  • You’ll focus on the details while keeping the overall purpose and goals of the projects in mind. And you can juggle several different programmes/projects at once.
  • You’ll take ownership of and see through the resolution of impediments - you’ll need to talk to lots of people to figure out what’s happening and know when it’s right to escalate.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Objective & Key Results management
  • An internal "expert" on OKR knowledge, skill, and practice in the organisation.
  • Scheduling the OKR "timeline" for the upcoming quarter so everyone knows what needs to be done and by when in line with the company’s strategic roadmap.
  • Owning and updating the OKR playbook for the organisation including facilitating quarter-end retrospectives on the organisations use of OKRs.
  • Programme management
  • Responsible for the end-to-end delivery (from start-up to BAU handover) of strategic programmes including coordination and monitoring as well as reporting the status & producing all programme artefacts at a portfolio level - plans, RAID logs, scenario analysis etc.
  • Coordination of investigation during the start-up phase of the programme as well as establishing the programme organization by identifying working packages and considering all impacted stakeholders, across all verticals and departments.
  • Reporting to the Programme Steering and key stakeholders on the delivery of the programme portfolio by regular status updates to all stakeholders and the project / business owners, regarding time/cost (effort) and scope. This will include facilitating communications and the running of programme board meetings for larger projects.
  • Planning the programme with Delivery leads and pro-actively monitoring its overall progress, resolving issues, and initiating corrective action as appropriate.
  • Pulling together the multiple moving parts of the programme into one cohesive view.
  • Collaborate with department Heads of and Team Leads to ensure that there is efficient allocation of resources and skills to support the programme delivery.
  • Managing third party contributions to the programme where applicable, including supporting supplier onboarding.
  • Setting up a risk assessment and regular update of risks and corresponding mitigations.
  • Quality assurance of the programme. Ensure hygiene factors such as risk and issue management, governance, change control, tracking expenditures and costs and regular retrospectives to identify ways to optimise delivery are completed to the highest standards.
  • Key Skills/Experience
  • Experience as a Project/Programme Manager in a gaming company
  • Proven experience of leading medium to big (time & cost wise) and complex (several locations, several teams etc.) programmes.
  • Experience in directing and coordination of Objective and Key Results Frameworks (e.g. Champion/Coach/Master role)
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience of leading, coaching and empowering of (dislocated) programme teams.
  • Good domain know how, sound understanding of Sports business as well as experience in setting up international expansion programmes.
  • Ability to combine technology with business thinking and understand the domain.
  • Ability to present business and technical issues, ideas, and recommendations clearly in verbal, written and presentation formats.
  • Practical experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of programme and project governance, with experience of using several different delivery methodologies at both a project and programme level.
  • Ability to build relationships and guide large and complex programme teams.
  • Ability to manage a larger complex portfolio of projects and programmes with multiple dependencies.
  • Ability to represent the company externally to partners, facilitating external third parties and stakeholders.
  • Able to collaborate and influence at Board level, and across creative, technical and product development teams.
