Are you a fully qualified accountant looking for your next career challenge in the International Development sectorProspectus is beyond excited to be partnering with a well-known International Development organisation to appoint their new Programme FinanceOfficer (International Project Accountant).Reporting to the Programme Finance Manager, this is a pivotal post with the purpose of supporting the Programme Finance Manager in running efficient and effective programme financial accounting, management and financialreporting processes in relation to our clients programmes and grants. The post holder will provide support to the full life cycle of grants, from donor concept notes/proposals to final reports and maintaining a close working relationship with internal andexternal stakeholders including external donors and in-country staff.The successful candidate will support the design and implementation of effective quality controls to ensure compliance with donor requirements and to maintain appropriate donor stewardshipand will prepare financial information for internal reporting purposes as well as monitoring spending and activity implementation and ensuring regular scheduling of grants management meetings.You will contribute to programme finance on all audits and statutorycompliance and in collaboration with field units, prepare due diligence assessments for potential new partners or donors and ensure these are refreshed periodically.We are looking for a qualified accountant with experience of financial accounting and financialreporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management. You will have experience of designing and managing effective administrative systems and procedures and it would be highly desirable to have experience of working with EC, ECHO, DFID or the equivalentand familiarity with various compliance rules and regulations.
