Have you got what it takes to support prisoners and their familiesPact is a highly respected independent charity, which together with its subsidiary, Pact Futures, works across England and Wales to develop and deliver a range of innovative services, providing practical and emotional support to prisoners’ children and families, to prisoners, and to ex-prisoners.Position: Programme ConsultantLocation: HMP YOI Isis, LondonJob Type: Full Time, Fixed TermSalary: The rate of pay for the consultant will be mutually agreedClosing date for applications: 10th January 2021Interview date: w/c 18th January 2021About the Role:Pact are seeking to commission an individual or organisation to assist us in scoping out the next phase of our exciting Routes2Change programme, as we expand from our current partnership with HMP Brixton, to mobilise the service at HMP/YOI Isis.We are seeking an individual (freelance consultant) or an organisation which can deliver a report outlining the findings, with supporting evidence, based on a short term, intensive scoping exercise, involving consultation with key stakeholders, and a review of available data. This report will be used to inform critical decisions about how to maximise impact of the new grant funding over the following 2.5 years.Routes2Change is a philanthropically funded programme focused on the development of a ’Family First’ culture, from prisoner induction to release, and for up to six months post release. The programme supports prisoners and the people with whom they have significant relationships including family members and children. It involves several key innovations, including the role of ‘Family Resettlement Practitioners’, who provide casework support, based on an initial Family/Relationships Triage, which initiates the co-production of ‘Family Care Plans’ using the bespoke case management system. The brief is to conduct a scoping exercise, involving consultation, review of available documents and data. It is not a research project. Here are some of the key questions we would expect to be covered within the report. In some cases, these will be supported by hard data, and we are seeking as much empirical evidence as is possible to obtain. In others, we would be seeking initial impressions and perceptions. What Pact Offers:Pact offers a range of employee benefits including free confidential advice and counselling, generous holiday entitlement, cycle to work scheme, free eye care vouchers and pension.
