Position: Production ManagerLocation: London Salary: 35-45k Ref: 17320-4411Our client based in London is on the lookout for a Production Manager for the creative and manufacturing team.The company is an innovative and pioneering gallery of original and unique contemporary furniture design and products. Championing and showcasing the work of leading international artists, architects, and designers who are both new and world famous, they have grown to be renowned for the work they create.With a production and technical design studio on site, they are seeking an experienced individual with strong knowledge of furniture construction and a variety of materials who can work with the team and is excited about using the finest materials and exacting requirements needed in order to fulfil the design and brief.This person will understand what is required to work at this level of the industry and is forward thinking.Key Responsibilities for the Production Manager include to:Oversee the design and production of gallery artist collections from concept stage through to manufacture, including material and component specifications, production of prototypes and drawingsPlan and draw up a production schedule, monitor the production processes and set & control the quality standardsSupplier relationship management (budgets, negotiating costs, sourcing and contacting suppliers)A large part of the job is dealing with people and resource management, you may also be involved with furniture design where applicable.Experienced in the fabrication of luxury, bespoke and limited range of sculptural/artistic furniture and productsStrong planning and organisation skills to schedule your own work to meet the teams goals and the ability to act decisivelyFluency to deal with various software and CAD programmes, they use Rhino and the Adobe Suite, Keyshot would be desirableStrong attention to detail to ensure high levels of qualityExcellent communication, interpersonal and team working skillsStrong negotiation skills for getting materials within budget at the right timeLeadership skills and the ability to motivate others to meet deadlinesA results-driven approach to workAbility to travel and be competent at note taking for taking on-site measurementsA knowledge of other languages would be desirable (French, Italian, German)Please make sure that your full address and details are included in your application for this role.
