Our client is a pioneering fintech start-up helping people re-define their relationship with money, with the first ever UK platform built for the rapidly growing Financial Independence movement. The company is 18 months into their journey so far, secured seed investment and recently launched their Beta product for users, receiving some great feedback and traction. 2021 will be an exciting year as they work with their awesome community of early adopters to develop and iterate the product. From this they plan to undergo a full-scale launch in May, before conducting a further funding round enabling them to scale rapidly in the UK, before looking to expand internationally in 2022.What the founder is looking for now to help them get to the next level is an individual to take on responsibility for product management to;- Lead the product roadmap, monitoring journey to product market fit and continuous improvement.- Ensure they have an agile product road map with clear goals being set at each stage of the journey.- Regularly gather feedback / interview users, and iterate based on feedback.- Create wireframes, break down and manage iteration sprints, and work with the development team to ensure the product reflects the vision. At this stage its an absolutely critical role for the company as they continue to build a winning product and go-to-market, so looking for the following in this person:- Experience in technology product development / product management, ideally having taken a product from inception / beta stage to full market fit.- Accustomed to working through agile sprints. - UI / UX wireframing skills. - Someone who is (or would be) passionate about building a highly engaging, meaningful personal finance product.- Interest or experience in fintech / personal finance / banking / investing would be a massive bonus, but is not essential if you can demonstrate winning product build processes. The founder of this validated personal finance fintech has a unique business proposition which is destined for great success with the right team around him to product build and go-to-market, and he appreciates the value of someone joining with a strong product build playbook to join in an influential role at this stage in development of the company. So for the right person with the requisite entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility, this could present a "once in a lifetime" opportunity to reap both the career and financial rewards of being part of an exciting fintech business venture as the Chief Product Officer. Now a note on remuneration, which we appreciate wont be suitable for everyone. The founder is looking to pay a subsistence salary of £22k, but for this start-up salary sacrifice and for playing a leading role in development of the company, hes willing to part with a generous amount of equity. Naturally as they grow, raise additional funding and generate revenue in the years to come, salary can be normalised. So looking for someone who can commit full time to this venture and essentially become a co-founder type, not for everyone we know, but for a product professional able to take on this entrepreneurial role it is of course hoped to be life changing financially down the road. If you are seriously interested, please apply and well introduce you to the founder. The role can be based from London where the founder is, or anywhere in the UK remote. Keywords: product owner, chief product officer, product director, product manager, product management, product development, fintech, wealthtech. personal finance, consumer finance, open banking, financial independence.
