Job Description

PRODUCT MANAGERLONDON£90,000 to £110,000 + BONUS AND BenefitsOne of our market leading clients are looking for someone to lead the development and implementation of a data, modelling and analytics product across the business and generate value from this.The CompanyThe company is a hugely successful with a great market position as well as a business model that is performing well through the current difficult times with investment happening across their data team.The Role - Product ManagerIf you were to be successful in your application for this Data and Analytics Product Manager role, your responsibilities would include:

  • A strong knowledge of how data flows through a business from the ETL and data warehousing through to the analytics, reporting and data visualization and the development lifecycle
  • The ability to translate business requirements into a technical need
  • Taking responsibility above that of a technical BA, Product Owner or a tech lead for the value being achieved from the products that are developed. Making sure a tangible commercial value is obtained from the product
  • Taking the initiative and having the vision to be able to not just gather requirements but also question them as to why and be able to have the technical knowledge to push back when those requirements are not feasible or alter them in order to create something useful but also doable.
  • Be technical enough to understand what data is available for these tools, the latency of that data and whether or not what is being asked is sensible and achievable and to handle technical stakeholders
  • Improve the performance of their platform and reporting primarily with a focus on the adoption of the product by the wider business
    • Skills and ExperienceIn order for your application for the Product Manager to be successful you will need;
  • Strong background in data, modelling and analytics specific product management
  • Experience managing products from idea inception through to delivery and after care in an agile environment
  • experience working within an enterprise environment.
  • Experience working with Senior and C-Suite Stakeholders across various business unites
  • Proven experience solving commercial data problems using data and data products and being able to deliver measurable value from these innovative products
  • A knowledge of ETL tools, data warehousing, BI and the cubing of data and being technically strong enough to wireframe a dashboard in Power BI
  • Experience with Axiom or Informatica would be beneficial
  • An understanding of credit risk technology, Internal ratings-based (IRB) systems, real time execution models or credit modelling systems would be beneficial
