We have an exciting opportunity to join Alter Domus as our Payment and Reconciliation Product Manager, reporting to the Head of Operations Transformation and working as part of Alter Domus COO Technology and Product team. The ideal candidate will have experiencein developing and managing the roadmap for payment workflow applications through to the design and delivery of reconcilliation solutions while supporting the business with the technical implmentations with razor focus on risk and control. Your future responsibilities: Product Ownership Own, develop and manage the roadmap for Alter Domus payment solutions across functional, non-functional, integration, compliance and BAU workstreams. Ensure that the business value is clearly identified, adopted and realised for all payment product features. Analyse the business, operations and client needs and be accountable for prioritization and delivery. Support the drive towards best-in-class process control, standardization and centralization. Be a deep subject matter expert for all payment and reconciliation products. Operational Performance & Optimisation Drive end to end visibility of the payments processes in order to make informed decisions about where to optimise and how to achieve Straight Through Processing: from approval to payment execution to accounting and reconciliation. Work in close collaboration with other stakeholders in Digital Transformation, Product, Technology and Operations across the business to prioritise projects and improvements. Ensure that the Client business can be delivered seamlessly from a payment and reconciliation perspective and that a clear, robust operating model has been designed and is in place. Support the design and development of the Fund Administration Reconciliation function. Explore, identify and deliver opportunities to enhance Alter Domus connectivity with banks and payment networks/schemes. Strategy & Communication Ensure that there is a well-defined and ambitious strategy for the Payments and Reconciliation product roadmaps that aligns with our stakeholders key needs and enables our strategy. Compliance & Controls Work closely with Operations, Risk and Compliance colleagues to enable and support first line of defence management in ensuring that risk is managed through adequate and efficient controls Drive improvement in operational controls through concepts such as secure identity and access management, segregation of duties, multi-level approvals, and RCSA reviews Support all rulatory and mandated audits and reviews, including ISAE3402/SOC Your profile and the skills and experience youll need for success: An excellent people manager with min. 5 years of experience managing and developing operational teams. Experience of Fund Administration including Transfer Agency is very desirable. Strong payments or reconciliations background and a solid understanding of payments reconciliation, accounts payable solutions and the payments infrastructure. Experience of Treasury Management Systems and/or accounts payable solutions, specifically the implementation of bank connectivity, including host-to-host connections, APIs and SWIFT/payment bureaus. Experience of operating and supporting the configuration and development of reconciliations platforms (e.g. EZOPS ARO, Autorek, Broadridge, FundRecs, SmartStream, BlackLine, Fiserv Accurate, FIS Intellimatch) Domestic and international bank payments, IBAN, SWIFT, SEPA, FPS, TARGET2, Fedwire, NACHA, International Payments - knowledge in these areas is essential Experience of managing projects and/or products in the payment and reconciliation space, with proven ability to achieve milestones and key outcomes. A proven track record of scaling and optimising processes through dedicated solutions, automation and process improvement. You know what strong operational performance and KPI reporting looks like. You have previously worked with external vendors such as banks and fintech companies, software providers and implementation partners - domestically and internationally. Knowledge of what it takes to run an operations team in a regulated financial services environment and how to deal well with ambiguity and change.
