Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a Product Executive to join the Product Development and Management team responsible for the Private Market product range. This individual will contribute to a wide ranging body of work as a key member of the Product Developmentand Management team. The role will support new product development; developing new fund ideas and undertaking competitor, product and market research to feed into product strategy as well as assisting in the on-going management and maintenance of the existingrange of funds and the associated processes and governance model. M&G has a wide and diverse product range with a strong focus on alternative assets across multiple product structures and fund domiciles. Asset classes covered include: real estate, privatecredit and private equity. The candidate must have demonstrable experience within the financial services industry, ideally in asset management undertaking a product related role. They should have an understanding of different fund structures and regulatory requirements including AIFMDand UCITS across a range of jurisdictions. They should also be able to demonstrate their knowledge of portfolio management across alternative asset classes. Key responsibilities • Supporting on product management reviews, ensuring that the product range remains fit for purpose in terms of client expectations, pricing, profitability and the prevailing regulatory landscape. • Development of new products ensuring that initiatives follow the Product Development and Management process, representing the Private Markets Product team in the development, design and delivery of new products, taking an active position in relevant workinggroups and ensuring fund documentation is fit for purpose. • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of market and industry trends and regulation and assessing their impact on the existing product set and encouraging product innovation. • Providing product input into M&G group projects. • Assisting with the development of product strategy for Private Markets. • To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&Gs operational risk. What we are looking for Essential • Degree level academic qualification (or equivalent). • Experience within the asset management industry, preferably in a product development / management role. • Highly motivated, proactive, resilient and flexible. • Organised and able to manage multiple initiatives concurrently, and to prioritise workload appropriately. • Self starter with a track record of working on own initiative to tight deadlines. • Strong communication skills with excellent analytical and report writing skills. Desirable • IMC • Detailed knowledge of capital markets (including alternative assets) • Detailed knowledge of a range of product jurisdictions and relevant regulations (e.g. AIFMD, MiFID II, SFDR).
