JOB PURPOSE This position will support the Jewellery & Eyewear Product Development Manager in delivering the end to end product development for Burberry semi-precious jewellery category, aswell as liaising with licencing partner on eyewear developments. Candidate will be working directly with the design team to organise launches and make sure all aspects of collection planning are met. Liaising with vendors and follow up on launches of all jewellerywhile respecting delivery dates given by manager. We are looking for candidates with previous experience in Jewellery developing with knowledge of precious metals, setting, galvanic process, able to identify gems and semi-precious stones. They are outcomeoriented over outputs. Candidates must be able to problem solve and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines. Good understanding of beautiful design and jewellery making techniques is important to the role.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working directly with the product development team and design team to manage product information (launches, collection overview, spec sheets, sample delivery, runway and look both preps - travel required)
  • Liaising with vendors to follow a product lifecycle, from CAD launch, prototyping, sampling delivery and production comments
  • Ensure a relationship is maintained with vendors and suppliers and shipments are delivered on time and to budget
  • Working with cross functional teams which includes: merchandising, product engineers, sourcing, showroom, digital, business and data analyst and other partners
  • Inputting and updating PLM, working with PD admin to ensure accuracy is maintained throughout the collection
  • Collection overview documentation management
  • Skilled in tracking and reporting multiple budget for product development, prototypes and samples
  • Instructing PD admin with administrative tasks
PERSONAL PROFILE
  • Deliberate practice with strong problem solving skills and outcome oriented
  • Previous experience in jewellery development, with understanding of metal, galvanic, gems and semi-precious stones
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise daily workload to meet deadlines
  • Adaptable, fast and proactive with a high level of attention to details
  • Good design sensibility - knowledge of good design, the market, the luxury consumer and peer awareness
  • Experience with large volumes of data entry, ensuring complete details and accuracy even when working at speed
  • Commercial understanding of product costs, markets and tracking against budget
  • String communications skills, able to effectively share information with the team in a clear, concise way
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at pace with flexibility, initiative and solution oriented
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Computer skills; Excel, InDesign and PLM are a must
