Procurement Manager - IT / Telecoms Salary £60-80,000 base plus bonus, health / benefits. Based in Paddington but with WFH flexibility. The OpportunityWould you like to get involved in on of the most exciting programme of works in the UK that is going to revolutionise the daily lives of commuters in LondonThis project is to roll out 4G mobile connectivity across the underground sections of the London Underground network and this network build and deployment programme will allow access to data when on the move in the tunnels so is one of the biggest commuting game changers for many a year. The Role Youll be the Procurement Manager, and reporting to the FD, youll have overall accountability for the end to end supply chain planning, vendor selection, sourcing and material management for all areas within the business providing strong commercial execution.Youll also play a key part by way of the implementation of process and a new ERP system so plenty of scope to shape things for now, and the future. The project isnt yet live but the 2-3 key contracts have been drafted and are awaiting signature but prior to go live and ongoing, youll work with the FD and head of legal to draft & finalise a range of agreements across technology and service for this company, who are viewed as the market leader on a global basis by way of the design, deployment of wireless technology across metropolitan transport networks. This is going to be a rapid ramp up and youll be joining the multi-year / multi-million value project before the go live date so due to tight timescales, there isnt going to be a huge amount of leeway when it comes to delivery - meaning everything needs to go as smoothly as possible when it comes to the logistical and contractual side of the programme.Who are youYoull be the procurement department when this role starts so we need an enabler, a doer and an all rounder, who can support technology and operations to get their aspects of the project done.To find the right level for the role, could this perhaps suit someone that has worked as a number in their existing technology business but is now looking to step into that role of number 1Nirvana is a telecoms network background but happy to consider IT or engineering and of course, experience of working on and around projects associated with rail, TFL or LUL would be an advantage. This is going to be a rapid growth, scale up business and this role suits a creative thinker that can come up with smart solutions to problems, someone who can prioritise, engage and communicate clearly with others and look for win:win solutions so working hard, but also working smartly. The ability to keep a cool head in a rapid deployment, project environment would be essential but that equals a lot of opportunity in our opinion to really influence moving forward. Key stakeholders will be the CTO for vendor equipment and the COO by way of build and delivery partners. Package to include KPI driven annual bonus, matched pension upto 10%, 5 x death in service, Income protection and private medical health care. Office is Paddington and post lockdown, flexibility will be shown for some WFH - maybe 2/3 days per week but with a flexible attitude in line with the demands of the project at that time.
