Job Description

Process Design Engineer Manchester, London, and Nottingham Hybrid Working Model Competitive Salary plus Benefits After the rapid growth of DCC over the last 8 years, the internal processes and have failed to keep pace with the increasing demands of the organisation.To strengthen DCC and ensure it is fit for the future, the Portfolio, Planning & Insights team is a newlyestablished capability in the CFO function that drives enterprise planning, business insights, continuous improvement, and efficient process design. This team will inform accurate forecasting, robust systems, processes and reporting, and define the appropriatecontrols and governance to secure certainty of delivery for our customers. To successfully deliver in the role you will collaborate closely with DCC process owners to document As-Is process, identifying gaps, outcomes and opportunities and inform the reengineering of complex internal processes which span the organisation. As an experienced process design professional, you should be well versed in process methodology (eg Lean) and tools (including MS Visio and SharePoint) used to working in a complex environment, able to rapidly get up to speed, operate within challenging deadlinesand work with multiple stakeholders. The role will need to work as part of a team to capture the future business architecture and develop processes to support the realisation of business outcomes. You will be required to facilitate design workshops, proactively seek out information to enable the process generation, work to deadlines and have a keen eye for detail.You will be proactive in ensuring the process is as efficient as possible and that thee2e journey is robust. The processes represent a significant change in the way DCC operates from today.Inputting to the ‘change journey’ to ensure processes are delivered and adopted will be critical. This role will suit a process professional with experience of delivering transformational processes, a willingness to be fully immersed in the programme, the ability to rapidly get up to speed and make an impact, and a desire to make a difference within a dynamicbusiness focussed on digitising the UK energy industry. What youll be doing: Lead business process workshops to develop end-to-end cross functional business processes, including inputs and outputs for the process. Analysing current process and data, defining revised / new improved processes. Preparation of process flow diagrams from high level processes, down to detailed work instruction level. Processes cognisant of systems, data and manual activity. Also definition of control points, SLA’s and owners identified. Application of process efficiency experience to ensure an optimal process is produced. Ensuring process fits into overall e2e DCC process. Support organisational events as required to drive business adoption and ensure our people embrace the change. Respond promptly to colleague feedback. What were looking for: 5 + years experience in process design engineering, with experience of Finance and Commercial processes desired Proven experience and use of process methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma etc) and associated tools (MS Visio and SharePoint) Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a multi disciplined team with multiple parties involved. Excellent written skills to ensure processes are fully and accurately documented. The ability to proactively build relationships and build trust from stakeholders. To rapidly consume and interpret high volumes of complex data A commitment to delivering good quality outputs. Well organised and able to balance multiple deadlines and priorities. Able to work at pace in a pressurised environment. Capable of rapidly assimilating complex policy or technical detail and then explaining this clearly to lay audiences. Results-focused, high levels of personal initiative and a positive outlook. A background in Finance and or Commercial processes is preferred. Experience of the Utilities industry is preferred, but not essential. Experience of working in a highly regulated environment, with a strong culture of information security.
