Job Description

Global Engineering Consultancy seeking to hire an experienced Electrical Power Systems Engineer for their London office, to assist in the delivery of complex Engineering solutions for some of the worlds foremost data centre developments. Working at the technical forefront of the built environment you will work with a talented engineering team delivering solutions for hyper-scale projects, 100MW plus, across EMEA region. Company overview includes;

  • Datacentre Divisions client base includes some of the worlds leading social media, internet & technology firms - they operate at top table in the sector,
    • Employed at Principal Engineer level you lead on the power systems elements to commission, performing duties to include;
  • Carrying out detailed electrical modelling and analysis of electrical power systems,
  • Prepare concept and detailed engineering designs for the power system to include grid substation design, CT calculations & rate of rise voltage calculations,
  • Produce schematic diagrams, fault and discrimination studies, preparing specifications and projects reports,
  • Attend site to carrying inspections & surveys and assist in the design development of power systems,
    • The role suits an accomplished Electrical Engineer who is educated to degree level, possessing the following;
  • Expertise in the Electrical Power Systems field ideally gained with some form of critical environment (datacentre, pharma, energy, oil & gas, industrial etc),
  • Extensive experience in the use of ETAP and / or SKM analysis software,
  • Technical knowledge incorporating; UPS systems, Power Generation, MV / LV Switchgear,
  • Currently eligible to work in the UK as an UK / EU national or by already holding the relevant work permit,
