Job Description

Pre-Sales Engineer - LondonEngineeringSalary: £50k-£55k/yearOur client is an EMEA leader in decision-making AI products for the Enterprise, with headquarters in London, and offices in Paris, Tunis, Lagos, Dubai and Cape Town. The organisation has also developed collaborations with global leaders in the Artificial intelligence ecosystem, such as Google DeepMind, Nvidia and Intel.They are currently looking to recruit a Pre-Sales Engineer. In this role, the selected candidate will report to the Engineering Department and will work closely with the Business Development Team under the supervision of the CFO. The job is to partner with the firm’s Sales/Business Development Executives as the key technical lead throughout the sales lifecycle of the firm’s business. Through this partnership, you will work in a consultative role to assist in the successful closing of new deals by performing Technical Presentations of the company’s solutions. You will also provide pre-sales support to their prospective and returning customers. You will be mobilized to present the Company in Events and Conferences. You will be expected to be part of technical delivery teams to assist in building Machine Learning based solutions.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Present and demonstrate the company’s product and solution offerings relevant to prospective customer objectives, alongside Business Development
  • Successfully facilitate Technical Deep Dive sessions with customers
  • Build environments tailored to customer requirements as Proof of Concept during the sales lifecycle to illustrate product capabilities and how they align specifically with customer objectives
  • Participating in writing proposals in response to RFIs/RFPs
  • Work with the firm’s data engineering teams to develop Machine Learning based solutions
  • Work with the firm’s data engineering teams to develop POC based on priorities
  • Help the Business Development team identify and understand customer business objectives and organisation to best align the firm’s AI solutions
  • Ownership of technical sales opportunity closure
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions
  • Coordinate with internal teams across local and international offices
  • Assist with the improvement of the company’s algorithms and approaches. On this note, the company encourages thinking outside the box and to challenge the status quo
  • REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors degree and/or Postgraduate qualification in Mathematics or Computer Science
  • Ability and interest in translating business requirements into technological visions, and reimagining data-processing technologies
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines
  • Detective-level attention to detail and self-discipline
  • Client facing experience with broad cross-industry knowledge
  • Good knowledge and experience of Python (or Golang)
  • Experience with Unit testing
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL database systems (PostgresSQL, Redis, etc)
  • Comprehensive experience in Software Development
  • Experience working with data processing and relevant architectures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French would be a plus.
  • Preferred:
  • Understanding of more advanced Machine Learning concepts such as Deep Learning
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD concepts
  • Experience working with Cloud Environments (e.g., GCP, AWS)
