Job Title: Power Scheduler (European Power Markets)London, Start ASAP initially until Nov 2021Do you have experience in at least one European power market (ideally UK and/or Germany) with a proven track record transacting binding orders on Exchanges/Trayport Are you familiar with using an ETRM system (ideally Aligne) If youre self-motivated and want to put your problem solving skills to use in a very time critical environment then please read on. Advantage Resourcing are presenting this fantastic opportunity to join a global trading business as they undergo exciting change. You will join a Power Trading operations team whos trading business is continually evolving and developing new products in new and existing markets. As a Power Scheduler you will be involved in the day-to-day management of the companys power activities, primarily in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain and Italy. You will have the opportunity to manage real-time exposure executing trades on European Power Exchanges.This is an important role in helping the company pursue its commercial strategy through developing power operations. This role requires liaising with grid operators, customers, traders, originators and other business functions to ensure operational risks are understood, effectively managed and new capabilities are developed in a robust and timely manner. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas articulately is important. The ability to communicate in another European language is desirable. Role Dimensions: * Daily scheduling of European Power Grids and the business nominations * Executing trades bilaterally and on Europes power Exchange Management of day ahead and intra-day cross-border capacities * Nominating/dispatching generating assets * Contact counterparties on a daily basis to check power positions and trades * Advising supported traders on operational opportunities * Participate in (and lead operational aspects of) change management projects as new business is activated and new grids/assets/counterparties are registered) * Provide input to IT tool enhancements/requirements* Provide overviews of assets performance/outturn * Work as part of the weekend rota.
