The Role: Portfolio Manager - MPS M&G Wealth Investments (MGWI) offers model portfolio services to UK financial advisers. The team manages the M&G Wealth MPS range and bespoke portfolios. MGWI works closely with the Treasury & Investment Office and other areas in M&G to construct the portfoliosand manage them on an ongoing basis. MGWI is headed by the M&G Wealth Chief Investment Officer. As Portfolio Manager, your role will be to support the ongoing management of models (including instructing trades), communications with financial advisers, andactivities to promote the MPS ranges. Key Responsibilities for this role:

• Construction and ongoing monitoring on model portfolios, taking into account the asset allocation, target market, costs, tactical views and instruments available
• Work with the Treasury & Investment Office and Operations team to identify funds to use within the model portfolios
• Responsible for making investment decisions and instructing the operations team to carry out model changes
• Monitor portfolio performance, exposures and risk, including preparing reporting for committees
• Create proposals for bespoke portfolios, taking into account client needs for asset allocation, costs, instrument types and other inputs
• Work with the Business Development team to promote MGWIs services to potential clients and represent MGWI at conferences and events
• Develop marketing content for existing and potential clients, including portfolio positioning, performance, presentations and market outlooks
• Assist the MGWI Chief Investment Officer with projects and research
• Ensure compliance guidelines and FCA regulations are adhered to
• Adhere to internal guidelines and client investment objectives
• Identify and resolve instances of non-compliance.
• Ensure that all regulatory requirements are fulfilled, including timely completion of all regulatory training and declarations.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Track record in relevant Financial Services role. Prior experience in managing model portfolios on UK platforms is preferred.
• Strong understanding of multi-asset investment management
• Ability to clearly communicate investment views, both verbally and in writing
• Knowledge of Financial Promotion regulations
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues across different functions (operations, compliance, marketing, sales, research)
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework
• Appropriately recognised professional qualification (or working towards one), such as the IMC or CFA;
• This is an SMCR role (Certified for Client Dealing)
