Job Description

Policy Affairs Specialist (Technology Company)Londonup to £50,000Our client is a global provide of technology security and a global leader in spoof-resistant, biometric verification technology. The company provides solutions to banks, governments, healthcare and travel providers around the world to enable secure, effortless customer onboarding and authentication.The company are now looking to recruit a Policy Affairs specialist to join their team team providing specific research and insights for the global business. The role will be within the Product and Marketing team.The company are looking for a talented and passionate individual to play a key role in shaping the future of identity and the role of biometrics.You will be involved in:

  • Keeping up with the rapidly evolving regulatory state of the industry by monitoring, reporting and analysing evolving regulations within our key markets or industries, for example Financial Services.
  • Influencing and interpreting industry standards such as ISOs, by monitoring, reporting and analysing new or changing standards which may impact the business or market focus.
  • Playing a key role in industry body relations. This will include becoming the company representative and attending and actively participating in meetings & calls with different industry groups such as FIDO, DIACC & Biometrics Institute
  • Own calls for comment, influencer and response documents.
    • Also,
  • Gather and disseminate relevant insights to maintain research processes and educate relevant company stakeholders.
  • Amplify the company message and drive market awareness by leveraging existing content .
  • Become an company product evangelist, support other teams with their enquiries
    • You will need to be skilled or have experience with:
  • To be detail focussed and demonstrate persistence and patience
  • Have excellent research and report writing skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills (English)
  • Ability to distil complex information and present it succinctly and accurately
  • Be comfortable presenting information either in written or verbal formats
  • Demonstrate the ability to listen & understand whats being said, then distil & extract relevant information
  • Understand the significance of, and be able to articulate the reasons behind, regulatory or standards changes, to provide meaningful inputs to the strategic direction of the business
  • Demonstrate a passion for making the world a safer place for its citizens

    • If you come from a legal background with maybe some understanding of engineering, that would be a great benefit, or if you have a background in Civil Service, which would also be beneficial.This role will be based at the company offices in London as and when restrictions are lifted and it is safe.
