Job Description

PMO AnalystSalary: National ranging from £40,600 to £45,000 and London from £44,900 to £50,000Are you interested in being responsible for providing project insights to support the outcomes we expect across our financial servicesThe team/department The PMO Analyst sits within the Divisional Service Team and is responsible for providing setup, delivery and analytical service to Programmes and Projects from the idea stage through to successful completion, which will enable outcome and benefits realisation.The role holder will be dedicated to supporting and enabling delivery of multiple projects, across a portfolio of deliveries. They will have a good record in a range of projects and will have a keen interest in Project Financials, Project Governance, Planningand Resourcing.What you will be doing (the role) Assisting in the initial development and ongoing maintenance of high level and detailed project plans, providing regular plan and milestone progress reports in line with Community of Practice standards.Tracking reasons for Amber or Red status and ensure that there is a clear corrective action plan documented.Support full lifecycle PMO service on multiple programmes and projects, either in a standalone PMO function or as part of centralised team.Facilitate workshops, and manage the agreed ways of working on RAID, change control, quality management and health checks.Support the provision of effective finance administration service to programmes or multiple projects, e.g., collation of financial data, forecasting and financial variance analysis.Consult with Central PMO (PMU), ensuring adherence to stage gate or applicable checkpoint governance process on programme or across multiple projects, facilitating the sign-off of key project deliverables and implementing configuration management standards,ensuring project library document naming and version control standards are adhered to.Provide Programme and Project Insights through the management and analysis of data to aid data resolutions.Implement and manage programme level governance and reporting, producing or guiding provision of executive MI report/EFDC and board packs, quality data reporting in PPM, identifying and managing of flow of information to the project board, preparing and distributingagendas, minutes, and actions/finding list.Respond to Ad-hoc requests for information in relation to the portfolio, programme, or project.What you will get from the roleWork as part of a central team supporting the provision of PMO as a serviceOversee PMO activities as a standalone PMO service in a medium/large project or programmeProvide PMO/Assurance oversight in project/programmes involving both business and IT ChangeExposure to significant and complex programmes or projects within financial servicesOur competitive flexible benefits scheme gives you the opportunity to create a personalised benefits package, tailored to suit your lifecycle. Proven evidence of PMO experience within Financial Services or organisation of equivalent scale and complexity (ideally financial services, government/regulatory body, technology, consultancy)Track record of success providing a stand-alone PMO service to significant and complex programmes or projects and/or running other PMO analysts on programmesProject or Programme management certifications (e.g., Prince 2, PMP, Agile, MSPs, P30 or APMP) Essential Analytical and able to justify and make recommendations using programme data and insights to drive the programme forwardExcellent communication skills, able to articulate programme information to stakeholders and programme teamsExperienced user of MS Office SuiteStrong diligence both in completing PMO tasks and in quality assuring the work of peers and team membersAbility to build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders and programme team membersOutcome focused with the ability to link day-to-day tactical delivery to programme aimsAbility to identify root causes, trends and drive continuous improvementExpertise and substantial experience providing a stand-alone PMO service or as part of a centralised service to significant and complex programmes or projects with financial services, large cooperations, or government IT environmentsFlexible workingWe welcome applications from candidates who are looking for flexible arrangements.
