THE GIG We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Programme Manager to join our team at Dr Martens. As a Strategic Programme Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring effective cross-functional planning, tracking, andmonitoring of large-scale projects and programmes. Your primary focus will be on driving the successful delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring that the intended benefits and outcomes are achieved. Responsibilities include: • Lead and oversee the planning,execution, and delivery of the Product Lifecycle Management projects across multiple functions within the organization. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, executive sponsors, project managers, and stakeholders to define project objectives,scope, timelines, and deliverables. • Develop comprehensive cross-functional project plans, ensuring alignment with overall business strategies and goals. • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategiesto ensure project success. • Establish robust project tracking mechanisms, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and milestones, to measure progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. • Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of project outcomes,benefits realization, and overall project health. • Drive collaboration and communication across diverse teams, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. • Proactively identify dependencies, interdependencies, and potentialconflicts between projects and programmes, and facilitate resolution to ensure smooth execution. • Drive the adoption of best practices and project management methodologies, ensuring consistent application across projects and programmes. • Provide leadershipand guidance to project managers and teams, mentoring them in project management best practices and promoting professional development. THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART • Proven experience as a Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager, preferably in a large and complex organizational setting. • Strong experience of delivering multiple PLM implementation projects. Also desirableto have some experience with FlexPLM products. • Strong background in managing strategic projects and programmes, demonstrating successful delivery and benefits realization. • Excellent understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques,including Agile and traditional waterfall approaches. • Ability to effectively navigate cross-functional environments and manage stakeholder expectations at various levels of the organization. • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the abilityto influence and inspire teams towards achieving project objectives. • Analytical mindset with a strong focus on problem-solving and strategic thinking. • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, anddelivering high-quality results. • Experience in change management and ability to drive organizational change in a dynamic environment. • Relevant professional certifications such as APMP, Scrum, DSDM or PRINCE2 are highly desirable.
