A global media technology services company are looking for a Platform Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis where you will work in a varied and exciting role seeing you responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of networking, IT security, virtualisation and file-based vide processing systems and equipment.As Platform Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring all systems are able to operate fully in a 24x7 environment for broadcast services through the configuration of systems, updates and modifications and planned preventative maintenance. In addition, you will support and maintain the IT security of broadcast systems through reviews and configuration updates of firewalls, IPS/IDS systems and Active Directory Group Policy to ensure compliance with the industries best practices. As Platform Engineer, you will also have the ability to react quickly and calmly in high pressure environments in order to provide the best technical support possible to internal users and external clients.To be successful in this role, candidates should have demonstrable knowledge/experience in:
