Job Description

Platform EngineerThis role gives the ability to work fully remotely post covidA global leader in providing market data, insights and infrastructure across finance and capital markets, are seeking a highly motivated and successful platform engineer to join a team of likeminded, passionate and innovative individuals in driving the companys impressive profile forward.The successful platform engineer will have experience in leading cross-functional teams, a knowledge of DevOps, technical aptitude, and a high level of learning ability, with a focus on integrating new methods and ideas.With a modern tech first approach that utilises the most cutting edge technologies, this is an exceptional career opportunity for the right platform engineer.The successful platform engineer will meet the following criteria:Required Criteria

  • Substantial related technology experience
  • Proven track record of delivering goals
  • Experienced in writing clean code (Python & Boto3 preferable)
  • Experienced with IaC/Terraform
  • Knowledge of these cloud service providers: Amazon Web Services
  • Experienced in automating software build, deployment, and server configuration management using tools such as Jenkins, Git, & Terraform
  • Knowledge & Experience of modern agile development methodologies
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and automation of software testing, delivery and infrastructure changes
    • Desired Criteria
  • Experienced in writing clean code in other Object Orientated languages: Python, other
  • Experience in developing IaaS development toolkits
  • Experience in working as part of an existing Site Reliability Engineering team
  • Experience with any public or private cloud technologies/services, particularly federation and STS services, IAM policies, Lambda and step functions, Bastion services, and others.
  • Expertise in Windows and Linux system administration, databases (relational and NoSQL), and networking infrastructure and services (routing, switching, DNS, NTP)

  • Between £75000- £90000 + 15% bonus + pension + Inclusive benefits
