Job Description

Join us as a Planning & Prioritisation Manager

  • Were looking for someone to work within commercial customer journey goals and hold our portfolio on behalf of the goal lead across the entire goal
  • Youll work with your counterparts in Technology and our Chief Digital Information Office to embed lean portfolio management to drive value out of the change the bank investment and Run The Bank costs

As our Planning & Prioritisation Manager, youll be embracing this opportunity to take on a critical role to manage our portfolio to realise the strategic objectives of the goal and our bank. Youll be partnering with a wide range of stakeholders to make surean effective pipeline view of run and change investment requirements are maintained, used, and kept under regular review. Day-to-day, youll be:
  • Focusing on customer value and business outcomes while understanding how various elements are delivered to meet the business OKRs
  • Managing multi-year strategic plans for investment across customer journeys in your goal, focusing on the highest value for customers
  • Continuously prioritising the portfolio with a focus on maximising business and customer value, including managing the process for receipt and assessment of new demand
  • Driving and developing a portfolio structure to provide appropriate governance and management of all changes within the goal (run and change)
  • Conducting regular reviews of the investment portfolio, while challenging the status quo and driving decision making about the portfolio
  • Using lean portfolio management tooling to manage and report on the goal book of work in real time and to provide instant impact assessments on changes to the goal portfolio
  • Conducting regular reviews of the investment portfolio while challenging status quo and driving informed decision making about portfolio priorities
  • Engaging with relevant stakeholders across the C&I business to help manage demand and progress of in-flight changes
  • Working closely with COO and CDIO to enhance franchise change processes while supporting portfolio visibility to optimise C&I wide decision making as necessary
The skills youll needAs our planning and prioritisation expert, your ability to look beyond your own experiences and understand how the portfolio delivers a customer journey thats truly inclusive for everyone will be key. Thats why were looking for someone with demonstrableexperience of managing a portfolio which has transformed complex business processes driven by the needs of the customer using lean portfolio management. Youll also be passionate about helping others to reach their potential and youll understand the importance of building the capabilities of our people so our customers can thrive too. Youll also need:
  • A demonstrable track record of managing complex portfolios, including technology or business change using Agile and lean portfolio management
  • Proven experience of budget management and benefit quantification
  • Experience of leading within a matrix environment, supporting and influencing different teams across the bank to work collaboratively to meet common goals
  • An understanding of managing and improving a risk and control environment
  • A proven understanding of best practices in portfolio management theories, models and practices and its relevance and implementation in Commercial Banking services
