PHILANTHROPY MANAGERSalary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum + benefitsContract length: PermanentLocation: Stratford w/ high-flexApplication Deadline: Sunday 25th July 2021, 23:55Are you a motivated individual with experience of high-value trust fundraisingthat can help us beat cancer soonerWhy we need youWe need you to manage, cultivate and steward supporters currently giving philanthropic gifts of up to £100k. Further to this, we need you to identify supporters with the capacity to give at a higher leveland ensure that these supporters are planned and transitioned in a timely manner.What will I be doingMake an impact every day by... Working closely with the Leadership Giving Lead and Senior Managers to manage and recruit Board members, senior volunteersand triage referrals coming through senior volunteer activity Acting as lead canvasser for donors in the up to £100k programme Identifying supporters who have the capacity to give at a higher level, and creating development plans for these supporters Usingaudience insight and major gifts expertise to ensure communications, events and stewardship journeys are appropriate Proactively identifying opportunities for donors to be transitioned and uplifted Developing a strong working knowledge of the campaign prioritiesand scientific work of CRUK Contributing to cross Philanthropy Directorate initiatives, strategy development and other activity and working groups where appropriate.What skills are we looking forYoull be able to bring to the role... Experience of solicitinggifts from both warm and cold prospects at a five figure level or other transferable experience of securing new business in a commercial sales environment Proven track record of major gift fundraising in the not-for-profit sector or similar transferable experiencegained in the commercial sector Proven experience of building effective long-term relationships with high level individual stakeholders and/or senior volunteers Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionallywith a wide range of stakeholders Exceptional listening skills and efficient written and oral communication skills Ability to manage a diverse workload through appropriate planning and prioritisation.What will I gainWorking within an ambitious and drivenPhilanthropy team, this role provides an opportunity to work alongside, collaborate with and learn from some of the most experienced fundraisers in the sector.
