Job Description

What youll be doing

  • Working closely with the Pension Scheme Director, other pension scheme managers, L&G Business Representatives and Secretary to the Trustees to provide executive support to the Mastertrust Trustees.
  • Taking ownership of the executive support for the Governance, Risk and Audit Committee (a sub-committee of the Board) and the Mastertrust board meeting. Supporting the agenda setting, writing and collation of papers, liaising with presenters (internal &external) and trustees, and following up on actions.
  • Collecting and analysing scheme information to support in the preparation and drafting of the Annual Chairs Statement. Supporting the preparation of other regulatory documents, as required.
  • Working closely with the L&G businesses and external parties on the annual Mastertrust Assurance Framework Audit, collating evidence on controls and measures in place, drafting report.
  • Working closely with the L&G businesses and external parties on the annual external audit and the preparation of the Annual Report & Accounts.
  • Supporting the Pension Scheme Director with miscellaneous tasks, including arranging signatures for scheme documents, developing content and approving literature/communications, paying MT/IGC related invoices, managing expenses.
What were looking for
  • Experience and knowledge of DC trust-based pension product solutions and marketplace would be beneficial.
  • Prior experience of pension scheme management would also be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Mastertrusts
  • Demonstrable communications skills, the ability to articulate and convey information in a clear and compelling manner in writing and in person
  • Ability to build good working relationships with professionals across the L&G business
  • Highly organised. Able to deal with multiple tasks at the same time
  • Ability to manage a diversified range of business expectations
