Job Description

A sports company are looking for a Payroll Manager to join their team on a temporary basis.My client are a well known Sports company and are looking for someone to join their Payroll team of 3 as the Payroll Manager. You will be reporting directly into the CFO and managing a Payroll Officer and a Payroll Administrator. The role will be on a temporary ongoing basis.You will be responsible for ensuring that all staff are paid accurately, on time and according to the companies policies while producing the 4-weekly casual payrolls and expenses and producing the monthly staff payrolls. The role will also require you complete the journals and reporting requirements and assist with projects.Key responsibilities:

  • Processing monthly payroll from start to finish in-house
  • Line-management of 2 staff
  • Ensuring BACS, payslips, RTI submissions and costings are produced to deadlines
  • Pay monthly PAYE and NI to HMRC ensurring all submissions are correct
  • Posting of relevent payroll journals
  • Reconciling the control accounts
  • Payment of any court orders, child support, childcare and donations
  • P11D returns, PAYE settlement agreements
  • Dealing with internal and external queries at all levels
  • Maintain records to satisfy audit and statutory requirements and manage any neccesary audit processes
  • Producing monthly and ad-hoc reports for key stakeholders
  • Project work - introduction of e-payslips and alectronic expenses system
  • Key requirements:
  • CIPP diploma in Payroll Management (or equivalent)
  • NGA ResourceLink experience preferred
  • Experience of working in a senior role in a complex organisation
  • Great understanding of legal and statutory regulations
  • Must be Immediately Available
