Job Description

Exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Manager to manage a small remote team.Duties include:

  • Manage monthly payroll of 1,200 employees
  • Manage a small remote team
  • Ensure the payroll process is correctly actioned and all employees are paid accurately and on time
  • Manage the Republic of Ireland payroll
  • Manage the end to end HMRC process ensuring monthly files balance are submitted on time
  • Support the Finance Department to ensure all Payroll reconciliations are correctly posted
  • Manage the system development, upgrades and enhancements
  • Implement new legislation changes
  • Create annual GPG reporting and share results with the business
  • Take full ownership of the PAYE audits with HMRC
  • Request HMRC approval for company benefits
  • Manage the annual benefit process and generate the correct payments to HMRC
  • Liaise with International and Global Mobility teams to ensure correct PAYE and NI rules are applied to all mobile employees
  • Manage the full Yearend process
  • Manage the registration of the company share schemes with HMRC and submit the annual form 42
  • Oversee the company Pension Scheme from a payroll perspective. Ensure contributions are correctly processed and paid across on time.
  • Collate data and manage the TRS process
  • Create and check the annual audit reports for internal and external auditors, ensure all regulations are met
  • Develop a strong network of relationships within the business
  • Actively support all projects relating to payroll processes
  • Track, monitor and manage the Payroll Accuracy KPI on a monthly basis
  • Ensuring all payroll policies and procedures are kept up to-date
  • Requirements:
  • Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) (Preferable)
  • Business and Payroll management experience
  • Resourcelink Payroll Systems experience is critical
  • Good Microsoft IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong leadership and team management
  • Strong motivational skills
  • Strong current knowledge of Payroll practices and laws, ability to advise PAYE and pay laws
  • Ensure the organisation keeps up to date with changes in payroll legislation.
  • Comprehensive understanding and detailed working knowledge of the UK Tax regimes (including knowledge of Expat/Inpat Tax and Benefit regimes)
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Payroll technology trends
  • Experience implementing system improvements and legislative changes
  • Experience auditing payroll and ensuring regulations are met
  • Aptitude for analytical thinking, organisation and logical problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is required
