Job Description

An internationally recognised, UK-based umbrella Professional / Representative Body for businesses is looking to hire a Partnership Development Manager to bring on new Partnerships through business development.A background in new business development - preferably strategic partnerships - is required, and although it is not essential that you come from a Membership / Professional / Representative Body, having a consultative, service-led sell style is.Client DetailsOur client is a hugely respected and internationally revered Representative Body that is the voice of business the world over. Our client sits at the heart of a unique network of businesses globally and this role sits in the commercial development arm ofthe organisation, its focus being on forging strategic partnerships with new clients.DescriptionOur client is looking for an experienced Partnership Development Manager to join the expanding Partnerships / Commercial Development team and support in delivering the partnerships growth strategy.

  • Execute sales strategy for events, research outputs and campaigns
  • Identify and target potential partners, leveraging market research and industry trends to tailor proposals that meet the needs of diverse businesses
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery of exceptional partnership benefits and fulfilment
  • Representing our client at internal and external events and networking opportunities
  • Meet and exceed revenue targets through the development of partnership relationships
  • Contribute to the development of new products and partnership offers
  • Collaborate with the partnership delivery team and other internal teams to ensure seamless execution of partnership activities
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and maintain competitive edge
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with partners, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with our clients objectives
  • Prepare regular reports on partnership sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to enhance future sales efforts
ProfileOur client is in need of a highly skilled and experienced new business development professional, ideally skilled at selling partnership opportunities. Big ticket account wins is essential, as our client has global reach and is internationally recognised- existing partners are Fortune 500, FTSE listed household names and so its important that you are comfortable engaging with C-suite executives and senior leaders.
  • Proven experience in a senior sales roles, with a focus on sponsorship sales and partnership development
  • Strong understanding of the business landscape in the UK, with experience of working with a membership organisation being a plus
  • Gravitas and immediate presence, with a personable approach and a consultative, service-led selling style
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and other relevant applications including CRM
