Job Description

Role: Assistant Accountant - Part Time 3 daysCompany Type: Creative AgencyPermanent- Hybrid -2 days in the office 1 day WFHReporting to: CFOLocation: City of LondonSalary: £35,000 - £40,000 pro rata 3 days a weekRef: VisionFR 2875VisionFR is excited to be working with an award winning Creative Agency to help find an experienced Part Time Assistant Accountant. This is a great opportunity to work for some of the biggest names within movies, gaming, sports and FMCG.The RoleDue to exciting growth, our Client is now seeking a proactive part time Assistant Accountant with excellent attention to detail preferably from a creative agency background to work alongside the CFO. You will be accountable for everythingaccounts payable, receivable and credit control.Part Time Assistant Accountant Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Bookkeeping in Xero WorkBook - multicurrency (Purchase and Sale Invoices, Bank Postings, etc.)
  • Issuing, chasing and reconciling company credit card expenses
  • Supporting the CFO with preparing month-end journals (including Accruals andPrepayments)
  • Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations; Accruals, Prepayments and Intercompany
  • Producing supplier payments reports for the CFOs approval
  • Managing and processing purchase orders and approval of sales and purchaseinvoices
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Assisting the CFO with updates to the monthly Cash Flow Forecasting,Management Accounts, and liaising with and providing schedules to the auditorsas part of the annual audit
  • Assisting the Head of People and Culture with HR / payroll / H&S duties whenrequired and have the capacity
  • Ad hoc tasks as required
Part Time Assistant Accountant Key Attributes Required:
  • AAT Level 4 or qualified by experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in an Accounts Assistant role.
  • Sound knowledge of double entry bookkeeping.
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in Xero to an advanced standard.
  • Experience working in WorkBook an advantage.
  • Familiar with multicurrency transactions.
  • Experience preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
