Job Description

A highly respected and successful Independent Financial Practice have an exceptional career opportunity for a highly-motivated and commercially minded Paraplanner based in the heart of the City of LondonAs a Paraplanner you will provide support which involves client interaction, research, report writing, providing quotations and preparing the suitability reports for the financial advisers to whom you support. Having already gained experience within an IFA environment as a Paraplanner you must be able to demonstrate excellent technical knowledge, awareness of current markets and an understanding of the industry regulations whilst displaying the proactive attitude required in this fast-paced environment.

  • You have previous experience as a paraplanner
  • You are ideally at least Level 4 Diploma qualified however this is not essential
  • You want to work with a company that will support your ongoing development including study support
  • You are looking to move into a role that focuses on utilising, and building upon your existing high-level technical skills as well as fostering strong client relationships
  • You want to work closely with a tight knit team that provides ongoing support for our advisers and clients
  • You are looking for an opportunity where you can deploy your skills in the preparation of complex suitability letters, replacement cases, fund switches, withdrawals et cetera
  • You like to carry out compliant and detailed research and technical analysis to support advice given by the Financial Planners
  • You get satisfaction from working directly with clients as you process their cases and keep them updated on progress
  • You like to work with financial planners, report writers and client support teams to provide the client with a positive professional experience, offering highly technical and qualified knowledge and ongoing assistance
  • You enjoy working in a sales driven culture and get excited at the idea of helping advisers win business
  • You understand the need to have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in both your written and numerical work

  • Salary to be decided depending on experience, qualifications and assessed aptitude minimum £35k - £40k.
  • Discretionary annual bonus subject to company performance (minimum 5-10% of salary)
  • 20 days holiday + generally a week from around Christmas Eve to January 2nd or next working day of the following year + all UK bank holidays.
  • 4 x Salary Death In Service Benefit
  • Permanent Health Insurance (PHI) scheme to normal retirement age, after probation period (6 months) with 13 weeks deferred period.
  • Pension Matching up to 3% of salary, after 3-month deferral period.
  • Cost of material for accredited professional development examinations, agreed at commencement of employment, are covered.
