Job Description

Set in the heart of the exclusive enclave of Knightsbridge is one of the worlds most prestigious residential buildings. Designed by world renowned architects, Squire and Partners, the 201 residences that make up this luxurious building are set around anentirely private award-winning Feng Shui garden. Residents are looked after by a highly trained team of professionals that provide the luxury service required to match this iconic building.They have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Painter and Decorator to join the Engineering Team in their five-star deluxe residential property.Responsibilities:

  • Attend to all decoration works within the building and carry out redecoration works as required to 5* standard
  • Ensure painter workshop areas are kept clean at all times in accordance with the standards set
  • Prepare painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint/wallpaper
  • Repair cracks and holes in walls
  • Measure, cut and apply wallpaper or fabric to walls
  • Mix, match, and apply paints and other finishes to various surfaces
  • Handle planning and prep work in an efficient manner
  • Prepare the surrounding area by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes
  • Move furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project
  • Calculate the amount of materials and time required for said project
  • Remove fixtures such as door knobs and light switch covers
  • Monitor paint stock levels
  • Choose and purchase paint, brushes, and other supplies from vendors
  • Patch plaster
  • Assist the Engineering team with other duties when required
The roleis full time (40 hours per week Monday to Friday but may require occasional night and weekend work).Ideal candidates should possess the following qualities and experience:
  • Experience of working in a luxury 5* establishment - desirable
  • The ability to work to an exceptionally high standard
  • An exceptional eye for detail
  • Sound awareness of Health and Safety issues
  • Minimum NVQ level 2 painting & decorating qualification
  • Good communication skills and good level of spoken English
