Outreach OfficerReporting To Head of Learning and Engagement Department Learning and Engagement Hours 37.5 per weekContract 1 year fixed termSalary £26,000 per annumJob PurposeTo work as part of the Learning & Engagement team to manage and deliver a programmeof outreach activities which meet the Silverstone Interactive Museums purpose to tell inspire young people into STEM subjects using Silverstone and Motorsport as the main source of inspiration.Role Responsibilities Deliver STEM workshop sessions in schoolsand education settings, to a wide age range of pupils Deliver education sessions at the Silverstone Interactive Museum to a wide age range of pupils Working with the Head of Learning & Engagement, develop new workshop ideas and deliver them to education groupsContribute to the development of online resources for pre and post workshop sessions Foster good relationships with schools and build a network of schools for outreach visits Actively find new opportunities for further educational partnership working Line-managethe work of outreach and project volunteers as required Work with other volunteers and casual staff as needed Provide effective, timely reporting both in writing and verbally when required Contribute actively to business risk management and Health and Safetymanagement, including risk assessing all activities Manage the administration of outreach bookings, travel planning, accommodation booking and any administration associated with van usage Provide information for effective financial management and report onallocated budgets Assist in the manning of the exhibition to engage with visitors if required Assist with evening lecture sessions where needed Support the commercial activities of the Museum, with particular focus on engaging young people and families Adhereto organisational policies and procedures to protect people, the collections and the Museums reputation Develop and maintain policies and procedures that support and deliver departmental objectives Professionally challenge procedures that do not add valueto the organisation Advocate for opportunities for diverse audiences and volunteers to be represented in the Museum Any other duties as reasonably requested by your Line Manager.Key Relationships Head of Learning and Engagement Director of Collections, Exhibitionsand Learning Operations team
