The Clore Duffield Foundation has been distributing funds to charities since 1964. Initially founded by Sir Charles Clore, it is now chaired by his daughter Dame Vivien Duffield. The charity supports cultural education, learning spaces within arts and heritage organisations, leadership training and the enhancement of Jewish life. The Foundation has distributed more than £50 million to charitable purposes over the past decade. Prospectus is pleased to be working with Clore Duffield Foundation to recruit this important 6-month contract role of Operations Manager (Systems) which will be working very closely with the Executive Director to ensure the smooth running of the charity and all of its grant-making systems. The foundation is undertaking a review/audit of its operating systems to improve efficiency and in order to assess what the future staffing requirement should be. The experienced Operations Manager will work on simplifying and streamlining the office systems, and to review selected service providers, whilst also running the Foundations operations. Working as part of a very small team within this well-connected organisation demands a high level of flexibility and initiative, so prioritising a complex workload will be vital, in addition to being the logistical go-to person for the organisation. The analysis and change process will involve initial diagnostics, solutions, agreement (buy in from Trustees), implementation and final handover. The successful candidate will have substantial office systems management experience, preferably within the charity/arts sector, and probably within a grant-making organisation. This person will have excellent IT skills and a working knowledge of SAGE accounting, the grant-making database BENEFACTOR, Excel, Charity online banking and end to end grant making systems experience. An accomplished multi-tasker, this individual will be able to work in a very small team and very independently when necessary. This role represents a superb opportunity for the right person to play an important role in the systematic change essential to prepare the Foundation for its important work over the coming years. To apply, please submit your CV in Word format; cover letters are not required at this stage. Required skills
