Job Description

Want to work for one of the UKs most famous visitor attractions Have you previously managed the day to day running of an organisation Do you lead by example and enjoy motivating and developing staff If yes, please read on!Robertson Bell are pleased to be working with this historic landmark whilst they recruit for a Operations Director on a permanent basis. With responsibility for the management of all of the operational teams your duties would include:

  • Ensure you are managing a highly engaged and motivated team who can work well collaboratively.
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships and play a pivotal role in the senior leadership team.
  • Continuously aim to improve the organisation seeking out efficiencies across key business operating models.
  • Ensure the smooth running of all operational teams and coordinate all activity of specialist departments.
  • Work with the Group Director to ensure the organisations objectives are met.
  • Oversee the delivery of the private hire and commercial events and supervise all compliance and security on site.
  • Always have the visitor experience at the forefront of your daily activity ensuring a first-class service is given by all staff.
This is a brilliant opportunity to be accountable for the running of one of the UKs most famous historic visitor attractions. Candidates ideally will have experience within a similar role however please note this could be offered as an opportunity for progression.This permanent Operations Director will join a thriving not for profit organisation driven by individuals all committed to its purpose. This position will occasionally demand weekend and bank holiday working on an infrequent basis. The position will be basedat either their central London office or Teddington location.The successful candidate will:
  • Have had a successful career to date in operations.
  • Be an excellent communicator and a real team player.
  • Have strong leadership experience and be happy in a hands on role.
  • Have a passion for providing first class customer service.
  • Ideally have experience working for a visitor attraction however this is not essential.
